The key to
Executive Coaching or Mentoring is the impartial non-aligned support of
the MentorCoach, assuring confidentiality and objectivity towards the
participant and the organisation.
Mentoring
is a Management tool that can be used as a part of the on-going developmental
processes in the organization.
Executive Coaching addresses issues that Senior Executives deal with
in their day to day work-life; leadership skills, aligning attitudes
& behaviour to the culture of the organisation and your responsibilities,
subordinate development, team building, succession planning, to name
a few.
External
Mentoring, can be used as either a formal mentoring program or informal
relationship. The focus is on the individual; career and support for
personal growth and maturity. The sessions are not driven with any set
goal or objectives; the flow of the meetings is driven by the needs
of the participant.
Coaching
is provided on a one-to-one or in small groups. Coaching in some ways
is the hands-on application of mentoring, it is an activity which is
job-focused and performance oriented. Therefore, each session has a
goal or objective to be achieved; to reinforce or change skills and
behaviour or traits.
Professional
coaches are trained to listen and observe, to customize their approach
to the individual client's needs, and to elicit solutions and strategies
from the client.
While the coach provides feedback and an objective perspective, the
participant is responsible for taking the steps to produce the results
he or she desires.
